Staff and students at both the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, and residents across Nottinghamshire, are being encouraged to join together and help save carbon emissions this March.
Green Rewards is a free programme that rewards members with £20 vouchers for taking actions to help reduce carbon emissions. The actions include travelling sustainably, enjoying nature, reducing waste or energy use, and reducing meat consumption.
This March, we are encouraging people across the region to come together to combat climate change. Staff and students at both universities, as well as residents across Nottinghamshire can participate in Green Rewards programmes and help make a difference. Join the March Sustainability Challenge and help save as much CO2 as possible through your sustainable actions. Get involved by reporting your actions such as sustainable travel, reducing meat intake and switching off devices, and monitor the real-time progress. Why not challenge yourself to go that extra step further – everything counts! The Challenge began during the universities Sustainability Action Week, supported by Nottingham City.
All staff and students at University of Nottingham are invited to join in helping achieve this goal. You can sign up to Green Rewards, for free, at: uon.greenrewards.co.uk/
There’s also a free app for iOS and Android which you can download by searching for ‘UoN Green Rewards’ in your device’s app store.
If you're already signed up, earn more points by refering your colleagues and friends.
Reducing the amount of CO2 emissions is vital to mitigate the effects of climate change, prevent health issues caused by factors such as air pollution, and maintain a diverse natural environment. We can all make a difference, with small everyday changes, that add up to a big impact.
