Maxwell Ayamba, an American and Canadian Studies student studying a PhD in Black Studies with a thesis title ‘People of Black African ancestry and their experience and use of the Peak District National Park: A comparative study of five cities across England’, took part in celebrating the 70th anniversary of the creation of National Parks in the UK in 1951. The event took place at Castleton, BBC Countryfile were in attendance and Maxwell was one of those they interviewed.
Maxwell has also been on a panel judging UK's Best Walking Neighbourhood Award for 2019 which was organised by the Ramblers Association at Camelford House in London.
