A top 20 university for computer science
The University of Nottingham has been ranked 17th in the UK for computer science according to the Complete University Guide 2020. We’re up nine places from 2019.
There are four components that are combined to produce the subject rankings. These are entry requirements, student satisfaction, research quality and graduate prospects. We’ve seen improvements in entry requirements and graduate prospects.
In 2017, 92.3% of undergraduates in the school who were available for employment had secured work or further study within six months of graduation. The average starting salary was £27,500 with the highest being £60,000.*
The school offers eight undergraduate and three postgraduate courses. Our expertise is translated into research that tackles real-world problems that have high impact on industry, commerce and the public. We aim to educate the next generation of computer scientists, preparing them for the future.
