Dr Tony Glover has been awarded a Hermes Enterprise Fellowship, supporting outreach, innovation and business engagement around the Glu4D collaboration platform. Glu4D emerged from research into Mixed Reality Architecture, connecting remote spaces with video audio-visual communication streams that are embedded in a collaborative virtual environment. Glu4D allows for flexible and spontaneous communications between groups of people in different geographical locations. In connection with an RDF Sponsoring Pathways to Impact grant awarded to Dr Holger Schnädelbach, the fellowship will allow the establishment of a University of Nottingham business unit, representing the Glu4D concept to external partners with the aim of spin-out formation.
