The University of Nottingham Research Showcase was held on 20th June 2013, hosted by the Graduate School. The annual showcase gives young researchers the opportunity to present their research, engage with the public, and build new collaborations. 50 researchers were selected from all applicants to present their research and posters in front of elected judges, peers and the general public. There were in total 9 prizes. Ben Haines a PhD student from the School of Computer Science presented his work on optimised 3D reconstruction and won the 1st Prize, as well as the Award for Best Press Release.
