Turn to the Wild

The Department of Computer Science is pleased to announce the publication of a Special Issue of ACM Transactions on Computer-Human Interaction (ACM TOCHI), entitled: Turn to The Wild..

This issue considers cutting edge explorations of HCI-based research and thinking within 'wild' settings. A full outline of the issue can be found in this: Introduction

We are especially pleased to note the involvement of Dr Andy Crabtree, Dr Alan Chamberlain & Prof Tom Rodden as members of the Mixed Reality Lab, within the department.

Dr Chamberlain said, "This special issue has evolved from our experience of working in the 'wild' in a diverse range of settings with a range of different partners. In particular this project has been a collaboration between the University of Nottingham, Swansea University, University College London and Georgia Tech. It is an evolution of an earlier 'Research in the Wild', workshop that was a great success;  enabling researchers to come together to discuss methods and approaches for 'wild' research."
