PebblePad Practice Portfolio
Traditionally, students have produced paper-based practice portfolios. We introduced an electronic version in Summer 2019 and now all dietetic students going on any placement will have a practice portfolio is on the web-based platform called PebblePad.
Getting started:
All dietetic students will be given a PebblePad account. To access this account:
Practice educators will be given access to a student's portfolio by the student themselves, via email. Once you have received the link, you will be able to:
- Access PebblePad from the email that has been sent to you
- Create/reset your PebblePad password for future access
Please note that you can access the student's portfolio again by going to https://v3.pebblepad.co.uk/login/nottingham and entering your work email address and the password that you have created.
If another member of staff needs to access a student's portfolio, the student will need to be given the staff member's name and email address, and asked to share their porfolio with them.
PebblePad training
Online PebblePad training will be available all year around to practice educators, with the PebblePad Q&A sessions available at various time points throughout the academic year.
The online training should take 1 to 2 hours to complete. It provides:
- An overview of the dietetic portfolio as well as how to access portfolios,
- An indepth look at what each section entails,
- How to provide feedback to students (using the 'external assessor' fields),
- Completing attendance monitoring, and
- Ideas on how to support the student to manage their portfolio.
The online training is for supervisors of UoN MNutr dietetic students can be accessed and completed in your own time.
