In this resource we will be introducing a number of scenarios for you to work through. Each of them focuses on a different aspect of healthcare and each of them illustrates a range of ways in which a healthcare professional responded to or managed a challenging situation. Some are well managed and others are poorly managed.

You should work through each of the scenarios and then evaluate the way in which you felt the healthcare worker dealt with the situation. As you do so, it might be helpful to consider how well they employed some of the de-escalation techniques that we've already identified.

Please note, we recommend that you complete this resource in one go if possible, but if you are not able to do this, make a note of the evaluations you have given for each, so that you can compare these later.
