University of Nottingham American Football narrowly miss out on Championship glory at BUCS Big Wednesday

Description
University of Nottingham American Football opened BUCS Big Wednesday on Tuesday night to a sold-out crowd at David Ross Sports Village. The team came up just short in the Championship final again UWE but nonetheless impressed on their way to receiving their runners up medal. The game was a fantastic advert for American Football in the U.K and a great showcase of Nottingham's fantastic performance programme in the heart of the Midlands.

Chris Adcock to join University of Nottingham Badminton Coaching team

Description
University of Nottingham has officially appointed Chris Adcock as a coach with the Performance Badminton programme. The appointment, will see Chris supporting the coaching and development of the Men's and Women's Programme. Chris will also be responsible for coaching the Men's and Women's performance teams in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) competition. The former England number one will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position following his distinguished career on court.

Over the course of two full days of action, athletes from the University of Nottingham Karate Club made it a memorable championships for the #GreenandGold, with medals won across the weekend.

2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Nottingham Varsity following a two-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Major tournaments like Varsity do not come around often, and when they do, the collective support from both teams is what makes the atmosphere so electric.Not only does Varsity bring together some of the strongest sporting talent from both Universities, it also unites students, staff and the local community who turn out in their masses to witness the epic two-week battle for the trophy.As Varsity returns to the City this Spring, the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University stand together to fight against discrimination, injustice and inequality.Whether it is on the pitch or in the stands, those attending Varsity are reminded that they are representing their University and violence, racism or any other form of discrimination will not be tolerated.Love Varsity. University of Nottingham set to host the return of BUCS Big Wednesday

After a week of unprecedented success in BUCS semi-finals, the University of Nottingham will have unrivalled representation at the university team sport showpiece, BUCS Big Wednesday on the 23rd of March. BUCS Big Wednesday is one of the biggest events of the year, and it's the only event where you can see over 100 teams, 16 sports and 50 plus fixtures in 24 hours, right here at the University of Nottingham.

On Thursday 10th February, forty members of the University of Nottingham Polo Club descended on Rugby Polo Club for the SUPA (Schools and Universities Polo Association) Winter Nationals. Competing all the way through until Sunday the 14th, the four days of intense action saw thirteen #GreenandGold teams play a total of 52 chukkas, or 390 minutes of polo.

On the 25th of February, the University of Nottingham Judo club had a strong team of 24 travel to Wolverhampton to begin the biggest weekend in the University Judo Calendar - BUCS. Our #GreenandGold athletes have been training intensively all year for this competition, and the results are testament to their hard work and dedication.

University of Nottingham boat club race in Newcastle for BUCS Head 2022

After two years away, the boat club returned to Newcastle to race BUCS Head 2022 on the Tyne, on the 26th and 27th February. With storms Dudley and Eunice keeping the club off the Trent for the last two weeks, everyone was very excited to get back on the water and benchmark themselves against the rest of the country.
