Description: Across the weekend of the 19th and 20th February, the University of Nottingham Sailing club hosted the annual Snakebite event at the Notts County Sailing Club. Despite testing and stormy conditions, the event was hugely successful with 20 teams from different universities participating, and four flights of boats racing. The first day of action started promptly, and by lunch 45 races had been run, even accompanied by a few short spells of sunshine!

Description: On the 20th February, the University of Nottingham Taekwondo Club competed in their second fixture of the season, the BUCS Winter Championships which was hosted at our very own David Ross Sports Village, and in total the University of Nottingham returned with a total of 7 medals which we are incredibly proud of.

Description: University of Nottingham athletes competed at the recent BUCS Canoe Slalom Championships on both the 12th and 13th of February. Held in Nottingham at the National Water Sports Centre in Holme Pierrepont, the #GreenandGold made their mark on another superb weekend of canoe action.

Description: After an enforced year without the annual BUCS Nationals weekend, the event returned in full force in 2022. Held over three days in Sheffield, hundreds of athletes from the University of Nottingham competed across the five different sports of Badminton, Athletics, Swimming, Fencing and Climbing, in a bid to be crowned the best in university sport.

Description: This past weekend saw University of Nottingham Cheerleading's level 3 competition team, the Nottingham Knights, compete at Future Cheer UK University Nationals, held at the Manchester Central Convention Centre. The event was well attended, with universities from across the country represented across numerous divisions.

Description: Over the start of 2022, the University of Nottingham have been delighted to see archers compete in the B.U.T.T.S Challenge League to a very high standard, including record performances for scholar Louisa Piper and a clean sweep of medals at one event.

Description: This past weekend the University of Nottingham Gymnastics club had 25 members compete at the BUCS (British Universities & Colleges Sport) Gymnastics Championships, held close to the University at Hinckley Gymnastics Club in Leicestershire. The competition was split over the Saturday and Sunday, with the women's competition taking place on the Saturday, whilst the men competed on the Sunday, and the weekend saw magnificent success for the #GreenandGold

Description: University of Nottingham's volleyball teams delighted a sell-out Headliner crowd, winning both their match ups against Northumbria University in two thrilling fixtures. The Green and Gold squads overcame tough opposition from two very technical and powerful Northumbrian squads to take their respective games 3-2 and 3-1.

Description: The long-awaited BUCS Nationals is now less than a month with the championships running from 18-20 February 2022. BUCS Nationals 2020 proved to be the last major multi-sporting event before the BUCS season was curtailed in March due to Covid, with Nottingham sat at the top of the BUCS table.
