Estates maintenance team go paperless
A new smartphone-based system is allowing the Estates maintenance-operations team to go paperless!
The “FSI-GO” system improves information flow between the Estate Office helpdesk and front-line trades staff, resulting in better informed customers and operational efficiencies. It enables the tradespersons to receive work tasks via their phones, access documentation from wherever they are, and publish back task information, notes and photos in real time.
Approximately ten staff have transferred to the new system, with another 40 expected to join them as the system continues to be rolled out. The new system will reduce the number of journeys back to base and remove the need to print around 50,000 “job cards” and record sheets each year.
