Academic Promotions Committee

Terms of Reference

  • Within the guidelines of the Academic Promotions Procedure determine promotions to Level 6 and 7 within the Research and Teaching Job Family as well as the award of appropriate titles.

Main Activities

  • Consider all applications for promotion to Level 6 and 7, determining which candidates have a prima facie case.
  • Appoint appropriate external advisers for each candidate.
  • Determine which candidates should be promoted.
  • Determine where required, the appropriate title for all staff promoted to Level 6 or 7.
