Ticket changes from 1 March 2015 on Linkbus network

From 1 March 2015 Nottingham City Transport tickets and travel passes will no longer be accepted on Linkbus services. These include routes such as L12 and W1.

Nottingham City Council commissions a network of contracted bus services branded as ‘Linkbus’. These services are operated by various bus companies under contracts to be renewed over the next 9 months. NCT’s Easyrider, Cityrider, Anytime and Grouprider tickets are currently accepted on most Linkbus services. NCT regret that this arrangement is no longer contractually or financially acceptable to Nottingham City Council and will terminate on 28 February 2015. This applies to all services listed below:

  • Citylinks 1 & 2
  • L1, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7, L9, L10, L11, L12, L14, L22, L23, L33, L64
  • W1, W2, W4

L13 and L53 will be operated commercially by NCT from 1 March 2015 and be renumbered as 80 and 53. These will continue to accept all NCT’s ticket range.

Regular Linkbus users who have a NCT travel pass and are unable to travel on an alternative NCT service to make their journey, may need to change their pass to the multi-operator Kangaroo card. View information on purchasing a Kangaroo pass through Payroll

NCT will provide a full refund of any balance remaining on Easyrider or Anytime cards, without any administration charge, until 30 April 2015. Staff who have purchased their NCT pass through Payroll should notify Julie Hatton of their wish to cancel the pass. Those who have purchased a pass direct with NCT will need to go to the NCT Travel Centre on South Parade in the City Centre.

Full details about the forthcoming changes are available on NCT’s website
