Sustainable Travel Event at George Green
Thursday 11 November 10am – 2pm
Visit the quad outside George Green Library on University Park to find out how easy it is travel to the university sustainably with Sustrans and Wind. Learn about safe cycling through the winter and pick up some freebies. You’ll also be able to get your bike serviced for free, no booking needed, with our regular Dr Bike mechanics from Nottingham Bikeworks.
Open to all staff and students. This event is part of activites organised as part of the university’s activities for COP26.
David Ross Sports Villiage
The Dr Bike session on University Park at the David Ross Sports Village is proving to be popular and is now a bookable event. To be sure that the mechanic will have time to service your bike, please book an appointment.
Sutton Bonington
The Dr Bike sessions have returned to Sutton Bonington campus at the new location of outside the Sports Centre. The sessions are now also held on Wednesday afternoons.
On 24 November, whether you have a Dr Bike appointment or not, pop by to find out more about safe cycling and sustainable travel.
Further information on Dr Bike
- If you are unable to attend a booked slot, you must cancel your appointment a minimum of 24 hours beforehand via Eventbrite. You may lose booking rights to future sessions if you do not cancel your slot in plenty of time.
- Please be aware that drop-in sessions may be busy and you may be required to wait to have you bike looked at. Consider arriving slightly later in the day if you only have limited time available.

- Please note that if your bike requires a significant amount of work or is in a very bad state of repair, it may be rejected by the bike mechanic, who will advise on further work needed at a local bike shop.
