Entries now open for EAUC Green Gown Awards 2015

The University's Sustainability Team is looking for colleagues to apply for this year's EAUC Green Gown Awards. Now in their 11th year, the Green Gown Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK. 

The Green Gown Awards:
The Awards recognise the exceptional sustainability initiatives that are being undertaken by universities and colleges across the UK. "The Green Gown Awards provide our learning institutions and their staff and students a real opportunity to break down the barriers and achieve engagement and change. The Awards bring together leaders, academics, managers, students and wider communities to recognise the pioneering achievements being made in across education, both in the UK and globally, for a better quality of live and a more sustainable future.” Ian Patton, CEO Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC).

Previous Success at the Green Gown Awards. 
The University's Sustainability, Society and You MOOC gained a Highly Commended, but we are looking to improve for 2015.

Are you working on a sustainability project at the University? Do you, your school or department have a project which promotes sustainable behaviour? The Sustainability Team want to know how you inspire and motivate your staff and students to get involved with projects and initiatives. If you have a project or scheme which you think might be worthy of an award, the Sustainability Team want to hear about it and provide assistance in the application process. 

With an array of 14 categories to choose from there is something for everyone!
