Over 300 people attend Summer Spectactular

visitors in Walled Garden on University ParkUniversity Park once again put on a ‘summer spectacular’, resulting in over 300 people turning out on Sunday 16 August 2015 to enjoy the summer colour in the Millennium Garden, Walled Garden and Jekyll Garden.

Organised by the Friends of University Park group as part of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS), the open gardens event raised around £900 – with funds being donated by NGS to nursing and caring charities.

Friends of University Park led garden tours to the Millennium Garden (located near Law and Social Sciences building) and the Walled Garden adjacent to Highfield House. A minibus operated a drop off/pick up service around all the gardens on University Park, which gave visitors the opportunity to see more of the grounds and use the Gardens guide and tree walk booklet PDF format to further explore the award-winning campus.
