University hosts carbon management workshop

External view of the Energy Technologies Building, Jubilee CampusThe University hosted a meeting with the Department of Energy and Climate Change and Salix Finance on 9 October 2015 to share good practice of energy and carbon management between local authorities, universities and colleges from across the Midlands and North of England. 

The meeting was hosted in the Energy Technologies Building, a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ building, thanks to its innovative design, energy efficiency, integrated renewable energy and green roof. Visitors were given a tour of the building to showcase the research activity undertaken by The University of Nottingham and a tour of the campus to notable projects, including the carbon neutral laboratories

The University is deploying funding provided by Salix Finance to improve resilience and reduce carbon emissions in the Medical School
