The Sustainability society have launched their first magazine exploring what sustainability means to students at the University of Nottingham.
The magazine includes a review of their trip to the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth, Wales, where society members explored different methods for renewable energy generation that the centre boasts, and the work of ‘Zero Carbon Britain’ in changing the approach to energy, the environment, and how land can be used to lower Britain’s greenhouse gas emissions in order to avoid further climate change.
As well as more information on the society, articles include what students really think about sustainability, the benefits of cycling in the city, a contemporary look at what challenges sustainability thinkers face, and thoughts on the Trump administration in the US.
Take a look at the Sustainability society’s magazine.
The society are active on Facebook and run various events across the year.
