Aims, access and licensing
Aims and Scope
Understanding how communication, languages and texts operate in social, scientific and cultural contexts is fundamental to the world we live in. As society changes, languages and texts adapt and evolve, demanding a multidisciplinary approach to their study. We focus on the use of innovative methods to produce, collect and study texts, and this Journal exists to bring a broad range of perspectives into dialogue through the interdisciplinary of its contributors.
The Journal of Languages Texts and Society is a postgraduate-run journal that aims to provide a platform for postgraduate and early career researchers to experience the publishing process, whether through getting involved in the running of the journal, or contributing a piece to one of our issues. We have rigorous standards, as indicated by our double-blind peer review process which ensures that academics and postgraduates with the appropriate expertise evaluate and give feedback on submissions to help contributors develop their work further.
The LTS journal is produced in collaboration with colleagues at a number of institutions, including:
- Trent University
- Birmingham City University
- Cardiff University
- University of Leeds
- Lancaster University
- University of Sheffield
- University of Huddersfield
- University of Valencia
Although based in the Midlands, UK, this Journal aims to build upon its already international scope to continue to grow its contributors and readership, as well as the team that run the Journal behind the scenes. As such, we welcome the involvement of individuals or institutions who are interested in becoming satellite editors (see Editorial Team for details), as well as interested contributors.
